About & Team

Healthcare that meets people where they live

CuraQ Health is a healthcare technology company building the home as the new center of care. We connect families, caregivers, and clinicians in one intelligent platform so patients receive better care, and caregivers feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Our Mission

Make the home a true healthcare hub through compassionate, connected, AI-enabled care — for the people receiving it and the people providing it.

Our Vision

A connected community where seniors age with dignity at home, caregivers thrive in their profession, and clinicians are available the moment they're needed.

Our Values

Integrity, curiosity, compassion, and a relentless focus on outcomes that matter — for patients, their loved ones, and the people who care for them.

Our Approach

We pair clinical expertise with applied AI research — including a collaboration with the MedStar-Georgetown Collaborative Center for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Research and Education (AICoLab) — to ship tools that work in the real world of home-based care.

Research Interns

The researchers behind the AICoLab collaboration

News & Partnerships on our homepage points here — the MedStar-Georgetown AICoLab work on HealthHub at Home's burnout-detection model has been built with these interns' hands on the code and data.

VK

Venkata Krishna Kandalai

Solution Architect Intern, Vivid Solutions

An MS in Health Informatics from Hood College. He served as a student researcher at MedStar Health's AI CoLab working on the NLP/ML pipeline that estimates caregiver burden from free-text survey responses using the ZBI framework, including debugging and refining the model's prediction logic. He is currently a Solution Architect intern at Vivid Solutions, focused on healthcare FHIR interoperability.

JC

Jiye Choi

M.S. Biostatistics, Georgetown University

Experience in statistical analysis, healthcare data analytics, and AI-assisted research using R. She contributed to the HealthHub at Home caregiver support project by conducting exploratory analyses of ZBI survey data and caregivers' free-text responses, developing visualizations and analytical insights to support the development of an AI-assisted caregiver burden screening solution.

CH

Clark Harrity

Computer Science, Shenandoah University

Minors in AI and Game Design. As an AI CoLab intern with Georgetown University and MedStar Health, he contributed to a caregiver support platform by developing booking workflows, dashboards, accessibility features, and database-backed tools supporting the caregiver burnout screening solution.

AI

Adam Ismail

Software Engineering Intern, CuraQ Health

A Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Virginia. Through the MedStar-Georgetown AI CoLab, he co-authored "Predicting Caregiver Burnout from Free-Text Survey Responses," an ML prototype estimating ZBI scores from free-text prompts — the approach that became Bernie, our burnout-detection engine, now proof-of-concept complete and in fine-tuning. An incoming 2026–27 AI CoLab Fellow, Adam contributes full-stack engineering and integrates Bernie into the platform.

Also contributing to the research: Aida Mohseni.

Also on our team — not affiliated with AICoLab

MC

Michele Cesetti

Software Engineering Intern, CuraQ Health

A Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. He completed two internships with companies affiliated with the university — one in software development, one in the GRC (governance, risk & compliance) area — before joining CuraQ Health as a Software Engineering Intern.

Institutional partner

MedStar-Georgetown Collaborative Center for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Research and Education (AICoLab)

Our applied AI research — including Bernie, HealthHub at Home's burnout prediction model (proof-of-concept complete, fine-tuning in progress) — is developed in partnership with AICoLab, and carried out day to day by our research interns.
